Chapel Hill

Posted on April 1, 2010
I'm so happy to be back in Chapel Hill for a few days. Walked around campus a bit yesterday and took this picture. It was 80 degrees, the students were out, and I got to visit one of my favorite spots on campus. I appreciate natural beauty a lot, and something about being in my hometown makes me appreciate natural beauty and gives me a sense of nostalgia. I talk a lot about Carolina, but it was the best four years of my life. Saw a lot of tour groups walking around with prospective students. I wanted to go up to them and tell them: "If you don't want to come here after being here on a day like this, you never will!"

This was my view:

Love,

Beautiful! What's your favorite spot? Mine is by the soccer field because it gives me a sense of peace whenever I sit there. Thank you for everything!

It's pretty!

Diana you better not post that picture! haha Chapel Hill is gorgeous. Fond memories of last October. My school got voted the Ugliest Campus for consecutive years and it's really ugly, so I have much appreciation for UNC's aesthetic qualities.

UNC is a gorg, gorg campus! I think it's hilarious that I can see pictures & now say that I've been there! ;) NC has been so pretty lately - I feel the same way when the sun is out & the college kids are out. There's no time like college!

Wow what a beautiful campus! I wish I knew of UNC Chapel Hill before I made my college decision 3 yrs ago. Could have possibly seen you on campus too if I had..well there's always grad school..and they have an excellent program for what I'm interested in too. Love your blogs Anoop! :)

That's what I love about the south :) It's supposed to be in the 80's all week-- those red dirt roads & dog wood trees have a way of taking you back. Thanks for sharing, love.

So lovely, Anoop. I understand your feelings of nostalgia, as I too loved my university experience. As everyone else said, it's great to read your blogs and see you so happy. Here's to amazing things to come.

Yeah college certainly has been proved to be different... I hope it looked that nice up here though...the campus is still draining... But I'm happy that you are having so much fun and are really happy today.

Looks like a beautiful campus, Anoop. I'm so happy for you that you really enjoyed your time at Carolina and were able to come away with not only the knowledge but many life long friends as well.

So pretty! Although I no longer consider my college years as the best 4 years of my life (because hey, thankfully, I've had pretty good years since then), those are the years I still look back fondly. It's great that you got to spend those important years in such a beautiful place.

Aw it does look really beautiful. I wish I could say college was the best four years of my life, but not even close lol. Guess I should've gone to UNC! I visited the campus once but it was in mid-January and I didn't get to walk around. I want to see the Old Well!
